Once those plants have grown a bit they'll produce enough food for that herd. But you aren't there yet, the plants need time. Short term, move the pen marker to the freezer and let the herd eat your harvested fungus. Once your pen is up to 50-75% grown move the pen marker back and you should be fine over time.
